I work for National Product Sales in Salt Lake City. I
am their Director of Information Technology. NPS is a mid-sized company just beginning to scratch
the surface to the potential of well-designed IT. Some of the major projects I am spearheading include
a WAN redesign, more electronic workflow, a real e-mail system, a new accounting system, an HR information system,
improved online presence, and lots of custom development. The company has learned how nice it can
be to have a good programmer on staff :).
Before NPS I worked for Arthur Andersen in Chicago, Illinois since January 1995. Unforetunately, Arthur Andersen decided to shut down. I was a team leader the Windows 2000 Server integration team. Our responsibility was automating the installation of Windows 2000 Advanced Server for our Notes, SQL, and IIS servers. My areas of expertise include Active Directory, Service Packs, hardware, core system files, emergency repair process, disk management, networking, Win32 API and more. I was responsible for developing the entire Active Directory design for the Firm and implementing the root servers, managing the project, training the operations group to maintain the Active Directory, and developing tools to assist in testing and implementation. Before working with Windows 2000 and Windows NT, for two years I was on the Windows 95 roll out team. I developed tools in Visual Basic to assist in the distribution of software to the computers running Windows 95. |
